Autodock4 contains two main programs, namely, autogrid4 and autodock4. Autogrid4 calculates a set of grids that describe the target protein. Autodock4 performs the docking of the ligands to those grids [1]. We are installing Autodock 4.2.6 on MacOS.

Downloading Autodock 4.2.6

  • Download Autodock4 from here for Mac OS X in your desired folder.
  • You will see a new tar file, namely, ‘autodocksuite-4.2.6-MacOSX.tar’ in your folder.

Installing Autodock 4.2.6

  • To install Autodock4, double-click on the downloaded file.
  • It will create a new folder, namely, ‘MacOSX’.
  • Open this folder, you will find the two executable files: autogrid4 and autodock4.
